About me

Since I graduated from Loughborough University in 2018 I have worked at the toy company  Character Options.  While there I have been able to redefine my own role, I managed this by up-skilling myself. I pushed my illustration and concept art, and learned how to use a range of 3d software, such as Blender. I moved from a Junior designer to being the lead designer on in house concepts.

Learning

One thing I have always enjoyed is pushing my skills further and learning new techniques, adding to my abilities.

I have always found the best way to do this is by taking on projects that take me out of my comfort zone that push me to do research and rethink my approach.

I love working with new clients and on new projects.

Work

Working in a team has taught me how to manage and support good ideas. Working to a brief that can change quickly and often has given me the ability to be fluid in my design and ideation, able to adapt and listen, and see how best to apply the skill set that I have.

Being able to take these skills into my own freelance work as enabled me to be much more effective, and meant that at the start of a project I am equipped to ask the right questions to get the best outcomes possible as quickly as possible.
